Jobs
Managers onlyAdd a job
A job is a vehicle booked in for work. It ties together the vehicle, the customer, the services, the time, the bay and the person doing it.
Steps
- Open Jobs and choose Add job.
- Type the number plate into Vehicle reg. The vehicle's make, model and MOT details appear underneath. If they don't, choose the magnifying glass.
- Choose the Date and Time.
- Choose the Customer. If they're new, add them from the same box and they're selected for you.
- Choose a Team member, or leave it as Unassigned.
- Choose the Services. The list closes after each one, so open it again to add another. When it closes, Est. duration (min) and Est. price (£) fill in from the services you picked.
- Change the estimated duration or price if you need to.
- Check the Status, which starts as Booked in. If your garage has bays, choose a Bay, or No bay.
- Choose Save job.
Good to know
- A new job can't be booked on a date that has already passed.
- Opening the services list again puts the estimated duration and price back to the services' totals, so change them last.
- If no vehicle is found for the plate, you can still save the job.
- If the team member already has a job at that time, a warning appears under their name. You can still save.
- A bay can hold up to three jobs at once. A fourth is refused.
- The vehicle is added to your Vehicles list the first time you book a job for it.
- If booking confirmations are switched on, the customer is emailed when you save.
- You can also add a job from the schedule, from a customer's page and from a vehicle's page.
