Understanding the schedule

The schedule is your workshop diary. It shows every job that's booked in, when it starts, how long it should take, which bay it's in and who's doing it.

Reading the day view

  • Time runs down the left side, and the day view opens scrolled to just before 8am.
  • Each column is a bay: Bay 1, Bay 2 and so on. The number next to the name is how many jobs that bay has on the day you're looking at.
  • Jobs with no bay sit in the Unassigned column on the right.
  • Each job is a card. The taller the card, the longer the job.
  • A line across the page marks the time right now.
  • Shaded areas are outside your work hours.

What's on a job card

Every card shows the number plate and, when it's known, the make and model, with a coloured bar down the left edge for its status. Taller cards also show the customer, the services and the status in words. The photo or initials on the right are the team member doing the job. An amber triangle next to them means that person is double-booked.

What you can do here

  • Click a job once to open its page, or twice for a quick edit.
  • Drag a job to move it, or drag its top or bottom edge to make it longer or shorter.
  • Double-click an empty space to book a job at that time.
  • Switch the columns from bays to team members.
  • Look at a whole week or month.

Good to know

  • Everyone can look at the schedule. Only managers can add, move or resize jobs.
  • Cancelled jobs are hidden until you ask to see them.
  • Up to three jobs can sit in the same bay at the same time. They're shown side by side.
