Add your VAT number

If your garage is VAT registered, add your VAT number. This one box decides whether your invoices include VAT.

Steps

  1. Open Settings. You start on the General tab.
  2. Enter your VAT number.
  3. Choose Save changes.

Good to know

  • With a VAT number, new invoices show a VAT rate on every line and print your VAT number.
  • Without one, invoices have no VAT at all. Leave the box empty if you're not VAT registered.
  • If you stop being VAT registered, clear the box and save.
  • Invoices you've already issued never change.
  • If you have drafts when you add your VAT number, opening each one fills in VAT rates on its lines. Check them and save before you issue it.
  • If you remove your VAT number, delete any draft with VAT on it and create it again.
