Send an inspection to a customer

Email the customer a private link to the photos and video you've marked visible. They see the problem for themselves, so it's easier for them to say yes to the work.

Steps

1. Open the job and choose the DVI tab.
2. Mark the items you want them to see as Visible.
3. In the Share with customer card, choose Share with customer.
4. Check the Email address. It's filled in from the customer's details.
5. Choose Send link.

Good to know

• The button is greyed out until at least one item is visible.
• Anyone in the garage can send an inspection.
• The link is live. Items you mark Visible, make Private or remove afterwards change what the customer sees.
• The link stops working after 30 days.
• Sending again makes a new link. Links you sent before keep working until their own 30 days are up.
• A link can't be switched off early. To stop the customer seeing an item, mark it Private or remove it.
• The card shows the date you last sent a link.
• If you've just changed the job's customer, save the job first. The link goes to the saved customer.
