Jobs
EveryoneThe job page
Every job has its own page. It holds everything about that job, and it's where most of the work on a job happens.
Open it
Choose a job in the Jobs list, click it once in the schedule's day view, or choose it on the dashboard.
The top of the page
The title shows the make and model with the number plate. Underneath is who created the job and when it was last edited. Managers can change the Status from here.
The tabs
- Details: the vehicle, the date, time, bay and team member, and the services.
- Notes: notes for the workshop team. The number shows how many there are.
- DVI: inspection photos and video, and sending them to the customer.
- Activity: a history of everything that's happened on the job.
The side panel
On the Details and Notes tabs, a side panel shows the customer, the invoice and the latest note. It's on the right on a computer, and below the details on a phone. The invoice card shows an estimate until the job is invoiced. Once the job is Complete, managers can choose Generate invoice here, or Open draft ↗ if a draft already exists.
Saving
The save bar is at the bottom of the Details tab. When you change something, it shows Unsaved changes. Choose Save job, or Discard to undo. If you move to another tab, a dot on Details reminds you there's something to save.
Good to know
- Mechanics see the details but can't change them. They can add notes and inspection media.
- If a banner says the reg has moved to another vehicle, a manager needs to say which car the job was for.
