How vehicles are added

There's no Add vehicle button. A vehicle is added to your list the first time you book a job for its number plate.

Add a vehicle

1. Add a job and type the plate into Vehicle reg.
2. Save the job.
3. The vehicle is now in your Vehicles list, and on its customer's page.

The Vehicles list

The list shows every vehicle you've worked on, with its Reg, Make, Model, MOT expiry, MOT result, Mileage and number of Jobs. Search by reg, or choose a row to open the vehicle.

Good to know

• Vehicles can't be edited or removed by hand. Their details come from official records.
• If a job is saved with a mistyped plate, correcting the job moves it to the right vehicle, but the mistyped one stays in your list with no jobs.
• A Transferred badge next to a reg means that plate has since moved to a different car.
• A vehicle belongs to the jobs it has had, not to one customer. If it's sold to another of your customers, the same vehicle shows on both.
