Edit a part

Change a part's name, price or VAT rate, and leave a note saying why.

On the part's page

1. Open Parts and choose the part.
2. In Part details, change the Name, Price or VAT rate.
3. Check Price on the invoice, which shows the price with VAT added. If your garage isn't VAT registered, your invoices won't add that VAT.
4. If you like, say why in Note, such as a supplier price rise.
5. Choose Save part in the bar at the bottom.

A quick edit

1. In the Parts list, choose the three dots on the part's row, then Edit.
2. Make your change and choose Save part.

Good to know

• Your note is saved with the change in the part's Activity tab.
• A new price is used the next time you add the part to an invoice. Parts already on an invoice, even a draft, keep their price.
• An archived part can't be edited. Restore it first.
• Mechanics can see parts but can't change them.
