Change how long a job takes

Drag the top or bottom edge of a job on the schedule to make it longer or shorter.

Steps

1. Open Schedule and choose Day.
2. Move your pointer to the very top or very bottom edge of the job. The pointer changes to an up-and-down arrow.
3. Drag the bottom edge to change when the job finishes. The start time stays put.
4. Drag the top edge to change when the job starts. The finish time stays put.
5. Let go to save.

Good to know

• The edge you drag snaps to the nearest quarter hour, and dragging can't make a job shorter than 15 minutes.
• Press Esc while dragging to cancel.
• Resizing never moves the job to another column, even if your pointer drifts sideways.
• A job that runs past midnight is cut off at the bottom of the day and can't be resized from the bottom. Open the job and change its duration instead.
• You can also type the length into Est. duration (min) when you edit the job.
• Only managers can resize jobs.
