Add a service

Services are the work your garage offers, like an MOT, a full service or a brake check. Each has a usual duration and price, which fill in when you add it to a job.

Steps

1. Open Services and choose Add service.
2. Enter a Name.
3. Enter the Duration (minutes). This sets how long the job is on the schedule.
4. Enter the Price (£).
5. Choose the VAT rate. This is the rate the service starts with on an invoice, such as 0% for an MOT.
6. Choose Save service.

Good to know

• Two services can't have the same name.
• The duration can be anything from 5 minutes to 24 hours.
• The price and duration are starting points. You can change the estimate on each job, and the price on a draft invoice.
• If your garage isn't VAT registered, the VAT rate is ignored on invoices.
• You can add your first services while setting up your garage.
